Tarangire National Park is famous for its giant baobab trees as well as the thousands of elephants and giraffes feeding along the banks of the Tarangire River. Tarangire is home to the largest termite mounds in Tanzania, some of which reach up to fifteen feet in height. The best time to visit this park is during the dry season of Jan – March, July-November. This park can be visited as a day trip from Moshi or Arusha if time is short.
