aktiven Vulkans Ol Doinyo Lengai. Er ist 56 km lang und 22 km breit und wird durch den s\u00fcdlichen Ewaso Ng&#8217;iro Fluss und hei\u00dfe, mineralhaltige Quellen gespeist. erreichen k\u00f6nnen. Trotz dieser rauen Bedingungen ist der See f\u00fcr 2,5 Millionen Zwergflamingos ein wichtiger Brutplatz, der einzige Ort in Ostafrika, an dem sie dies tun.
